NBRS+PARTNERS Welcomes New Directors

NBRS+PARTNERS, Architecture welcomes new Directors Rodney Drayton and Andrew Leuchars in 2016. Rodney and Andrew have broad cross sector experience in Architecture and Landscape Architecture and will be instrumental in leading the growth of the national practice and helping to create life-changing environments.

rodney-4-crop_1_lowresRodney brings with him a wide-range of Architectural and Senior Management experience. Prior to returning to NBRS Architecture, Rodney was an Executive Manager of the renowned architectural firm, CHROFI. He has broad expertise in large scale PPP procurement, education, defence, health and correctional facilities. Rodney’s strengths are seen in his ability to add value to and manage large complex projects efficiently and staying on budget.

When Rodney isn’t hard at work, he enjoys sailing, listening to music, and taking activity advice from his 4 year old. His favourite place to travel is France, where he speaks enough of the language to stay well fed, but would struggle to speak at length on the future of the European Union. If you interact with Rodney, be sure not to mention any Game of Thrones’ spoilers as he has only recently taken up watching the world-wide phenomenon, but plans to power through as quickly as possible.

This experience has recently seen Andrew work in an advisory capacity for Public Private Partnership infrastructure projects in the fields of Justice and Education, both in Australia and New Zealand. Andrew joined the company in 2012, prior to which he was a valuable consultant to NBRS+PARTNERS contributing to a number of successful and award-winning projects. Andrew brings with him a wealth of leadership skills in project delivery and enjoys working closely with the client and design teams. This extends to his People and Culture role within the office.

When not at work you may catch Andrew in the great outdoors honing his marathon running skills, swimming, sailing or skiing with the family. Like Rodney, Andrew’s favourite place to travel is France, specifically Paris. He likes to be a polite traveller and can say ‘thank you’ in seven languages. When not engaged in sport, you will most likely find Andrew reading Tim Winton, watching Matt Damon outsmart the CIA, or enjoying an informal Italian meal of antipasto, fresh bread and fine wine with family and friends.
