Residential Landscapes

NBRS+PARTNERS in conjunction with Mosca Pserras Architects recently completed a section 96 application for a mixed use development incorporating ground floor commercial and 87 apartments above. The site is opposite Top Ryde City shopping centre. The majority of landscape is constructed above basement car parking and is to feature a communal garden with canopy trees, shrubs and grasses and open lawn areas. Slab set downs create 1.0 metre soil depths to allow for integrated paths and gardens, avoiding raised planters. Private garden areas feature low maintenance plantings. A strong geometry to paths and gardens and linear banding of pavement materials gives strength to the plan. Streetscape improvements are to be undertaken to meet Councils Streetscape Masterplan.
